In the operation insulating gas mask you must meet the following security measures:

- promptly check the correctness of the assembled respirator during storage. Upon detection of the leakage of the regenerative gas mask cartridge and launcher briquette needs to be replaced;

- before working in the room or inside the tank with a toxic substance to air the room, to predicativity tank;

- the number of persons, at the same time working in insulating gas masks in one room, must be at least two and they must be supported by continuous communication;

- in smoke filled rooms, tanks, etc. every self-contained breathing apparatus should be tied up with rope, the other end of which is a designated duty officer or backup number, outside the smoke room;

- not to start a job in a gas mask, if you are not firmly convinced, starting briquette when you start work;

- in the event of a break in the work with the removal of the front part of the regenerative gas mask cartridge needs to be replaced;

- timely finish the work self-contained breathing apparatus or replace the regenerative cartridge;

- do not allow on the starting briquette, briquette supplemental oxygen and regenerative cartridge of water and organic matter when preparing the mask for use;

- re-use of gas masks, exposed to exposure to aggressive liquids, be allowed only after neutralizing and a thorough check of their condition.

Prohibited:

- store starting briquettes and gas masks assembled at a temperature above +35^aboutWith, in heated batteries, in the sun, together with flammable substances;

- used to store regenerative cartridges together with spare or you collected all the masks;

- lubricate metal parts and the connection of a gas mask all greases and oils;

- to use non-sealed or partially exhaust the regenerative ammo;

- replace the regenerative ammo in the room, polluted steams of fuel, acids and other corrosive liquids unless absolutely necessary;

- close caps, spent cartridges of regenerative in order to prevent their rupture;

- to apply the gas mask IP-4 at temperatures below minus 40^aboutWith;

- apply masks SP-46 and SP-46M at a temperature below minus 20^aboutWith, if the regenerative cartridge was not before work at positive temperature for at least 4 hours.

When used together, IE PPE and insulating in high temperatures, it is recommended every 10-15 min. pour running water.

The allowable length of continuous residence in IDA with change regenerative cartridges - 8 h. Repeated stay in SP is allowed after 12 h holiday. Periodic work in IP are allowed on 1-3 hours daily for two weeks, after the necessary break of at least months.
