Paul Tychyna

Ticino-the clarinetist, possible, was an outstanding lyric poet of the world in their "classic" years (1914-1924). Paul Tychyna the great Ukrainian poet-modernist, translator, public figure. The life and career of the writer

Pavlo G. Tychina born 23 January 2022 g. in. Sands in Chernihiv, occurred from an ancient Cossack family (according to legend, his ancestor was a Colonel in the army Would. Khmelnytsky). Pavel was the seventh child in a large family (W 13 children survived nine).

Tychyna lived very modestly, often from hand to mouth, but all had beautiful voices, talent to the song. Special abilities singing, music, poetry, drawing since childhood found Pavel. For diligent teaching in the elementary school teacher of the Seraphim Moraczewska gave the boy a few Ukrainian books, planting in his soul with interest in the native word (and many years later the poet with thanks to Pia write her a touching poem).
On the advice of the teacher father gave nine-year-old son to the monastic choir in Chernigov. The choristers not only sang, and and studied in religious school. It was the only way for Paul to get an education. Soon the choir was assigned the Ticino is able to teach musical notation beginners (so Paul, by the way, opened musical wisdom and his younger brother Eugene, and Gregory Various, which will become in the future an outstanding choral conductor and composer).

For 1907 1913 gg. the young man is studying in Chernigov Seminary n enthusiastically implements a versatile talent: singing in the choir (and subsequently conducts them), Seminary plays in the orchestra, becoming the best clarinetist, in high school he studied with the teacher of drawing, outstanding artist Mikhail Beetle. By the way, it M. Beetle introduced Paul in Chernihiv circle of intellectuals.

The first saw and appreciated the literary talent P. Tychyna M. Kotsyubyns'ke. The famous writer, as you remember, then lived and worked in Chernigov, every Saturday was organized in his house meetings, which was about the arts. With 1911 g. Ticino also attended these "sabbaths". On one of these evenings, after hearing his poem, "Tell, tell me, Yola…", M. Kotsyubinsky said present: "Among us a real poet, Lord!"
1912 g. in the respected magazine "the Literary-scientific Herald" was published the first printed edition of the young poet — VRV "You know, how Linden is rustling…".

In 1913-1917 gg. Ticino continues to study PA economic faculty of the Kiev commercial Institute (to finish it he could not through a revolution), at the same time palachovo on small posts in the offices of the newspaper "the Council", magazine "the Light", assistant chorus master at the theater of Nikolay Sadovsky, as an accountant in the Chernigov Zemstvo.

During these years, the Ticino met his light of love. The girl's name was Natalia. she devoted one of his best intimate verses "Stay, tonight's the night…". However, love is not meant to be together: the girl died suddenly from tuberculosis. Through life the poet conveyed the heart wrenching memory of Natasha (1 force, as he called it), though I tried not to tell anyone about that story that was deeply personal and sacred. Only in his last years memories came to life again in the poem "I call you…", and in these sad lines.

and if somewhere sweetheart goes, comments (and again I close my eyes…),
and the rustle of the dress more and more is coming,
and your smile beloved, and her eyes…

In the turbulent years of the liberation struggle P. Ticino head of Department in the newspaper "the New Parliament" (1917), in the journal "Literary and scientific Bulletin" (1918-1919), travelling around Ukraine with the legendary composer To the chapel. Poetic style and attitude of Paul Tychyna
