Scholarship points

State scholarship — 730 UAH shall be payable to students of the hospital, who study on the budget. Health care: clinics and sanatoriums

Many high schools have after-work sanatorium for their students. This medical institution, in which students live, they feed and undergo various treatments (physiotherapy, massages, inhalation, etc.). A standard shift lasts 24 day, and you can get there once a year at any time, if there is space.

10-20% of the package cost (their availability can be found in the student Union at the University) paid by the student, the rest covers social insurance Fund. This opportunity is available to everybody, who is trained at a hospital. "During the year we have about 3 thousands of students travel to sanatoria and health resorts, says Andrew Gavrishkevich, the Chairman of the primary trade Union organization of students of NTUU "KPI". — The permit is 1500 UAH, but the student pays only 150. The price includes accommodation, three meals a day and treatments". "To get a ticket, you need to pass the medical Advisory Commission of the place of residence or in student clinic, — says Vladimir Maydanyuk. — Bureaucratic runaround deters many, so the place is almost always there".

In almost all cities of Ukraine universities is usually attached to a clinic, which caters to students. Only in Kiev it is not so: in the capital there is only one at city clinic for nonresident students of all state universities (in addition to the "KPI" — his own clinic). Fares

The student ticket can get a discount on train tickets. The ticket to second-class or total the car you can buy for half the price. When buying a compartment ticket will have to pay 50% the cost of reserved seat and pay the difference between the cost of space in parlor and sleeping cars — in the end you are saving about 25% all pictures. Discounts apply only to travel through the territory of Ukraine. Through the trade Union can be issued a student MetroCard, the bus, tram and trolleybus. It is cheaper to 50%.

Significant discounts and holiday tours

Discounts for students usually provide museums and other institutions in the field of culture. Lure students discounts also some cinemas, entertainment centers, trading company. For those, who is planning a trip abroad, very useful may be the international student card ISIC.

"This international student ID card, it is really in 120 countries worldwide and serves a dual function, — explains the Vice-President of APOS. — First, this ID card and student status, secondly — a discount card, offering discounts in more than 40 thousands of companies: for example, on the flights, food, the accommodation at the hostel, visiting museums".

In Ukraine discounts provide dental clinic, cinemas, clothing stores, bowling clubs, stores sporting goods, of, cafes and snack bars. Most benefits can be obtained in the capital. "The percentage of discounts different: in theaters, the theaters and Nightclubs they can reach up to 50%. For the purchase of goods the discount is usually small — from 5% up to 20%", — says Vladimir Maydanyuk.

Card can be issued through the trade Union or any office authorized ISIC. The cost of registration is 80 UAH, the maximum period of validity — 16 months, its starting to make since September. It is valid until the end of the following calendar year.

Tickets to the theatre and to football. Many opportunities for students as state employees, and those, who study on the contract, — give the unions. "For example, Kyiv city organization of trade Union of education workers signed contracts with the football Federation of Ukraine, with the Kiev club "Dynamo", The ice hockey Federation of Ukraine, the students were given free tickets to matches, including UEFA matches, — says the Chairman of the student Union KPI Andrew Gavrishkevich. They are distributed through the trade Union organization. In addition, we work with theatres, they give us free tickets to the performances in "slow-moving" days".

 

Through trade unions are also cheap tickets for students. Some universities (KPI, Odessa national Polytechnic University and others.) have their recreation, where and guide students. But for students of other educational institutions, also organized. "The total value of these vouchers will start from 180-200 $ per night with three meals, but a University student can get it cheaper, if the University or the Union partially covers the cost", says Vice-President of APOS. "Last year we had vouchers for 1600 UAH for six days, but we made up for 500-600 hryvnia for student", says Andrew Gavrishkevich.
